Taylor resides in Calgary with his wife Laura, daughter Lilly and his two Sons Cruz and Wyatt. Taylor graduated from the Instrumentation Engineering Technology program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 2009. He started coaching hockey in 2019 and has coached teams from U7 all the way to U15. He has since earned many coaching certifications including Coach 1 - Intro to Coach, HU - Online Coach 1/Coach 2, Coach 2 - Coach Level , HU - Online Checking and Instructional Stream - Checking Skills 1. With his continued education and personal experiences gained from his extensive hockey background he is a team oriented person and has provided support, motivation, problem solving and trouble shooting skills in coaching and mentoring. Taylor grew up playing hockey in Calgaryand played for the NWCAA. the Crowsnest Pass Timberwolves and the Innisfail Eagles Hockey Club. Currently, Taylor plays hockey for the largest oil and gas hockey league in Canada; the Rocky Mountain Petroleum hockey league. He still enjoys coaching and helping kids develop their game and life skills on a daily basis.
